Should I receive paperwork if a seller does not except the offer we put on a house?

My husband and I put an offer on a house and the realtor that we are working with called us back and said that the company that the seller is working for is buying the house at asking price and then going to try to re-sell it. Something just does not seem right to us..any help would be greatly (bolded & underlined many times) appreciated!! --Thank you!!
