Why are some AE hoodies very soft inside and others have ruff cotton inside that keeps you warmer?

i am talking about regular ae fleece hoodies.i have a blue one and when you put it on its very soft and feels like its made of soft cotton strings that Stretch.some others like the brown ae hoodie that says standard tradition 77 on it inside has ruff cotton to keep you warm and it's heavier.WHY ARE AE HOODIES LIKE THIS WHATS THE DIFFERENCE IS THERE A NAME FOR THIS???and i got it off clerance.and it had a little tag type thing on the bottom that said real soft in silver and the tag was dark blue
