What is a good brand of snowboard to get? AND SNOWGEAR?

Hey i know this is stupid since i live in utah but i have never been snowboarding before and i am starting in a couple weeks...what is THE BEST brand of snowboard to get? pictures and links appreciated! OH and i also want to know what people normally wear when snowboarding...i know this is stupid but i don't want to look too overdone... what do you think...beanie, coat, goggles, gloves, "snow" pants, scarf, boots? anything else? anything less? (ps...IM A GIRL)
