Am I going to be discrimated?

I'm planning to further my studies in the UK on Sept 2011.I'm an Asian and I heard a lot of stories about Asians who are discriminated.I'm not a Bangladeshi though-Malaysian.Can somebody answer me please?Is this true?The other day,when i went there the Londeners are friendly.But I got no idea about the other part of UK.Thanks for answering =]
