Can anyone tell me this shows name?

so for the life of me i cant recall the name of this show that i watched for like one season as a kid. it was about rebels or refugees on a spaceship amongst which the teenagers fighting against i dont know imperial rule maybe but they did that in robots... this one kid had a special robot that wasnt in the robot hanger but came out of nowhere when he needed it. it had like robot sword fight scenes and that one special robot could join with each individual robot strengthening them (the robots didnt all join to become one big machine though). the last episode i somewhat recall seeing was that the special robot according to lore has a twin or something that the bad guy gets and im not sure on this part but i think these refugees or fighters are trying to get to andromeda galaxy safely
