If I dig up my daffodil bulbs now can I replant them in the spring?

I need to dig up and move my daffodil bulbs to build a porch, but I can't replant until the porch is built and by then the ground will be frozen. Can I plant them in spring when the ground thaws? I don't care if it takes until next spring for them to bloom, but I don't want them to die. I have also thought about forcing them to bloom indoors this coming spring and them planting them?
