Should I take away my daughter's pacifier when she is 1?

My daughter is 11 months right now and will be 1 March 6th. I kinda want to take her paci away when she turns one for mainly dental reasons. I don't want her teeth to get messed up by keeping the paci around. Not to mention the longer I wait the more attached she will be. She already is attached to it, it's my bestfriend in the car when shes crying lol! She uses it for bedtime and when shes upset or just tired. So any suggestions as to if I should keep it or not when her 1st birthday comes around?
