Which quilt batting is easy to quilt and keeps you cool?

I want to make a quilt that doesn't make me too hot. I also want a batting that is easy to quilt, either by hand or machine. Do I use Bamboo, cotton, polyester, silk, or a cotton/polyester blend? Also, would I use low-loft? Thanks!
