Can someone help me understand the Catholic church's belief in regard to the Virgin Mary?

I've been protestant all my life, thought I was pretty well educated, but I just read something on a brochure that blew me away. It was published by Rose Publishing online, and is a comparison of the tenets of several denominations. This is what shocked me, only because I have never heard it before in my entire life: "Mary was conceived by her mother immaculately (free of original sin), remained a virgin perpetually, and was umed bodily into heaven." Where can I find these statements in scripture?
